Grand Army of the Republic registers, 1888.

This record group consists of registers of the Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) acquired by the Grand Traverse County Clerk and covers the year 1888. During the period of July 31-August 2, 1888, the G.A.R. had its national encampment at Traverse City, Michigan. Those individuals who attended were encouraged to sign registers and record their name, state, company, regiment, and post name and number. The two volumes in this record group contain all of the signatures except those from Michigan. The record group is arranged as received.
